Tin metal

Tin is a beautiful silver white metal with a tinge of yellow. The pure mineral is colorless, and it is very scarce; most specimens are brown, owing to the presence of ferric or managing oxide. The faces of the crystals exhibit diamond luster. There is also another form, known as " wood tin," occurring in roundish masses with a fibrous radiating fracture.
